When did you meet?
During the Pyaar Ki Adaalat interview, both of them had told about their interesting love story. They met during the Covid-19 lockdown. During that time, Priya's sister had a clothing business, for the promotion of which some friends contacted Rinku. The conversation between the two started from there. First there was friendship and gradually this relationship turned into love. Priya jokingly told that she had liked Rinku at first sight. He also liked her Instagram post. Rinku laughingly says that even though Priya had started liking him, it was she who sent the “Hi” message first. The first meeting of both was also very fun. Rinku arrived late by about four hours, due to which Priya scolded him. Recalling that meeting, Rinku says that Priya was looking very beautiful in a long dress, while he had arrived wearing simple shorts.

Who proposed?
Although the beginning was not easy. Rinku told that he had fallen in love with Priya at first sight and had even proposed to her, but Priya's father was initially not ready for this relationship. Priya's father, who has been a three-time MP, wanted his daughter to marry an IAS officer. In such a situation, both of them waited for about three years. During this time, Rinku continued to focus on his cricket career, while Priya continued her studies to fulfill her dream of becoming a judge. Both say that at that time their meetings were also very limited. He did not go on dates alone and could only meet with his family every three-four months. The situation changed in the year 2022. Priya's brother called Rinku and asked if he wanted to marry Priya. Rinku immediately said “yes” without any delay.

After this, after getting the consent of the family, both of them got engaged in Lucknow on 8 June 2025. Their marriage was earlier fixed for November 2025 in Varanasi, but had to be postponed due to the cricket series. Later the date of February 2026 was fixed, but due to T20 World Cup and IPL, it also got postponed. Now the news is that after IPL, the wedding can take place in Varanasi in June 2026 and the reception in Aligarh.
