After Abhishek Sharma’s stormy century, Hyderabad bowlers performed brilliantly, restricting Delhi team to 195 runs for 9 wickets. Hyderabad had given a target of 243 runs to win. Let’s take a look at the exciting moments of this match through pictures…

Abhishek Sharma made many records by scoring a century in the match. Abhishek played an inning of 135 runs in 68 balls. This is the 5th biggest innings in IPL history. This was Abhishek’s ninth T20 century, making him the joint Indian with Virat Kohli to score the most centuries in T20 cricket. Apart from this, Abhishek also broke a record of Chris Gayle.

During his century, Abhishek also got some life, which he took full advantage of and scored his second century in IPL history. Abhishek hit 10 sixes in this innings. This is the second time in IPL, when Abhishek hit 10 or more sixes in one of his innings. The record for doing this the most number of times is in the name of Chris Gayle. Gayle did this feat four times.

While chasing the target, Delhi got its first blow early, but after this KL Rahul and Nitish Rana made a comeback for Delhi by making a partnership of 86 runs in 45 balls. In the 10th over, Rahul was made his victim by Saqib Hussain. After this, Ishan Malinga, who came in the 11th over, broke the back of Delhi by taking two wickets in two balls. Ishaan first dismissed Nitish Rana, whose innings ended on 57 runs. After this Ishaan gave a golden duck to Miller.

Apart from these two wickets, Ishan Malinga also bowled brilliantly in the match. He ensured Hyderabad’s victory by spending only 32 runs and taking 4 wickets in his quota of four overs. Ishan’s victims in the 16th and 18th overs of the innings were Tristan Stubbs (27) and Ashutosh Sharma (14), whose return to the pavilion dashed Delhi’s remaining hopes.

Young spinner Harsh Dubey created a stir by taking three wickets in the last over of the innings. Harsh, who bowls with the left hand, got Akshar Patel caught by Nitish Reddy on the very first ball. After this, three singles were taken from the next three balls. On the last two balls of the over, Harsh trapped Sameer Rizvi and Lungi Ngidi. Rizvi was out after scoring 41 runs in 28 balls. At the same time, NGDI’s account was not opened. Dilshan Madushanka took the catch of both of them. Harsh took a total of three wickets giving just 12 runs in two overs.

Harsh Dubey has become only the fifth spin bowler in the IPL to take three wickets in the last i.e. 20th over of the innings. Before this, four spinners did this. Amit Mishra made this record in his name in the very first IPL season. Eight years later, in 2016, Adam Zampa did this. Then in 2018, Rahul Tewatia took three wickets in the 20th over. In the last IPL season, Krunal Pandya had done the same against Mumbai Indians.
