Royal Challengers Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bengaluru has become the most expensive team in IPL history. Just before IPL 2026, the consortium of Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures and Blackstone's Perpetual Private Equity Strategy (BXPE, Blackstone) has jointly purchased RCB. The value of this deal is US $ 1.78 billion, which is equivalent to approximately Rs 16,706 crore in Indian currency.

New Delhi. After Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore has also found a new buyer. Defending champion RCB has been signed by the consortium of Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures and Blackstone with 100 percent stake. This includes both men's and women's teams of RCB. This deal has been done for a record 1.78 billion dollars i.e. approximately Rs 16,700 crore, making RCB the most expensive team in IPL history. RCB was purchased from United Spirits Limited, which is part of the giant Diageo. Till now this company was the owner of the team.
