Vaibhav Suryavanshi had the orange cap before the Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad match in IPL 2026. Now the orange cap has been snatched from him. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Heinrich Klaasen and the captain of the same team, Ishan Kishan, have gone ahead of the 15-year-old batsman. Especially Ishaan has taken a huge leap in the Orange Cap list by scoring a fifty. At present the Orange Cap is with Klaasen.
Now the Orange Cap is with Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the match against Rajasthan, Ishan Kishan played a brilliant inning of 91 runs in 44 balls. This is his second half-century in the current season. Now he has 213 runs in the IPL 2026 tournament.
Whereas in SRH, Ishan Kishan’s teammate Heinrich Klaasen had scored 184 runs before the Hyderabad-Rajasthan match. As soon as he scored 30 runs, he overtook both Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ishan Kishan in the race for the Orange Cap.
Most runs in IPL 2026
- 214+ runs – Heinrich Klaasen (SRH)
- 213 runs – Ishan Kishan (SRH)
- 200 runs – Vaibhav Suryavanshi (RR)
- 195 runs – Rajat Patidar (RCB)
Let us tell you that Rajasthan Royals did not include Vaibhav Suryavanshi in their playing eleven. He will probably be made an impact player and brought to bat. If Vaibhav comes as an impact player then he can regain the Orange Cap in this match.
Heinrich Klaasen scored 40 runs against Rajasthan Royals, taking his total runs in the season to 224. If Vaibhav wants to surpass him and get the Orange Cap, he will have to score at least 25 runs in today’s match.
