The American company says that its battery can last for 100 years.
How does Nuclear Battery work?
Nuclear isotopes release energy when they decay. Semiconductor converters installed in the battery convert this energy into electricity. Betavolt says that its researchers have prepared this small nuclear battery using nickel-63 isotope. He has also prepared a thin diamond semiconductor, which helps in the entire process of generating electricity.
