NEET Re Exam 2026: NEET UG 2026 re-exam was held today i.e. on 21st June amidst very tight security. More than 22 lakh candidates took the re-examination at 5,440 centers in 551 cities of the country and 14 international places. On the day of NEET UG Exam 2026, such cases have come to light from many cities of the country, where delay of a few minutes or a few seconds has become costly for the students. Among lakhs of candidates, many students who had reached the examination center with the dream of becoming doctors could not go inside after the gate was closed.
Pictures emerging from Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bengaluru have shown the strict rules of the examination and the helplessness of the students. For the exam starting at 2:00 pm, NTA had allowed entry till 1:30 pm. After this, no candidate was allowed to enter the examination centre, due to this strict rule many candidates were deprived of taking the exam.
No entry due to delay due to traffic jam in Hyderabad
Four medical candidates reached the examination center at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Centre, Hyderabad, but were late by a few minutes in the stipulated time. According to the information, there was a huge traffic jam around the center due to which the students could not reach the gate on time. The students were stopped outside the examination centre. It was told that since the gate was closed, the security personnel did not allow them to go inside. The students and their families tried hard, but citing examination rules, they were sent back. Police and central administration said that once the gate is closed, no one can be allowed to enter. Keeping in mind the fairness and security of the examination, it is mandatory to follow the time limit.

1 minute delay proved costly in Bhopal
A similar case has come to light in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. A student reached Subhash Excellence School examination center less than 1 minute late than the scheduled time, but she was not allowed to enter the examination hall. The student and his father made many requests to the deployed soldiers. He told that he had reached another center earlier by mistake, due to which there was a delay of a few minutes. Despite this, citing rules, he was not allowed to go inside. The student kept crying for a long time outside the centre, but did not get any relief and had to return.

Girl student kept crying outside the gate in Jaipur
In Jaipur too, a student’s dream of becoming a doctor was shattered due to a delay of a few minutes. A student named Divyanshi, who reached Netaji Subhash Government Higher Secondary School Center located at Subhash Chowk, did not get entry. The student said that she had reached the entrance at 1:30 pm and the gate had not even struck 1:31, yet the gate was closed. The student and his father stood outside the center for a long time pleading with the authorities, demanding entry citing traffic jams. But the policemen refused entry citing rules. After crying and requesting for a long time, the student had to return disappointed.

Girl students climbed the wall in Bengaluru
A different picture has emerged from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Here three girl students reached the examination center a few minutes late; When she saw that the main gate was closed, she somehow crossed the iron railing and reached inside the complex. However, after reaching inside, they came to know that the inner gate of the examination center was also closed. After this she could not reach the examination hall and had to return. During this time, girl students were seen crying outside the centre.

Didn’t get relief even after the accident
Another case also came to light in Bhopal itself, where a student met with an accident on the way to reach the examination centre. According to family members, first the student was taken to the hospital for treatment, after which he reached the examination center, but by then the gate was closed. The family explained the entire situation to the officials but they were not given entry citing the beginning of the examination and the end of the deadline.
