- Install Havan Kund in a clean place of the house

- Taking water, flowers and Akshat in hand, remember all the Gods and Goddesses and take a pledge to perform Havan.
- Keep wood (Samidha) in the Havan Kund. light a fire by burning camphor
- First of all offer the offering while reciting the mantra of Lord Ganesha.
- Then offering to Goddess with mantras. Put the ingredients in the fire while chanting “Swaha” after each mantra.
- Mix barley, sesame seeds and ghee and offer 11, 21 or 108 offerings.
- Finally add coconut, jaggery and ghee and give Purnahuti.
- Pray to the Goddess that the Havan is successful
- Apologize for any errors and then perform the aarti.
