On this occasion, a small reception was held at Gaurav Kapoor's house in Bandra, Mumbai, in which only close friends and family members attended. Malaika is always in the news for her fashion sense and is often seen experimenting with different styles. However, this time instead of experimenting too much, she chose a classic and elegant look.
She wore a light dust-pink colored tulle saree, which was giving a very soft and romantic look. This beautiful saree was from designer brand Gauri & Nainika and its price is said to be around Rs 2.79 lakh.

There was light embroidery of green, blue, yellow, pink and orange colors with lattice pattern on the saree fabric. Apart from this, it also had small sequins and floral bead work, which seemed to give a slight glow when the light fell on it.
Malaika had draped this saree in traditional style. She had left the pallu long and flowy from the shoulders, due to which the embroidery and design of the saree were more prominent. She wore a matching dust-pink blouse with it, which had the same lattice design and multicolored embroidery. This blouse with sleeveless style and deep V-neckline was making her look even more glamorous.

Talking about jewellery, Malaika chose a few selected pieces instead of wearing too many accessories. She wore Kundan choker necklace with matching earrings. Apart from this, she also wore Kundan bangles and some statement rings in her hands. For hairstyle, she had made a low bun with center parting, which was giving a slightly messy look. The makeup also looked quite balanced with her entire look. Soft smokey eyes, mascara, light blush and glossy mauve-pink lip shade gave a special glow to her face.
Many celebs like Soha Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and Amrita Arora also attended the reception. Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra and Virender Sehwag from the cricket world were also seen in this function.
