New Delhi. Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni left for Hyderabad on Saturday for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). After two consecutive wins on home ground, CSK is now looking for the third win. This time the match is going to be held on the ground of the opposing team. SRH would like to win on their home ground. The team has won two out of five matches this season. CSK posted a video of Dhoni on its X handle in which he is boarding the team bus and going to fly to Hyderabad.
It is not clear yet whether Dhoni will play in the match against SRH or not. The former captain has not been able to play any match in the tournament so far due to a calf injury. While giving information about Dhoni’s injury, CSK had given a time limit of two weeks. That is over now. Dhoni did some light practice in the nets before his team’s match against three-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
44 year old Dhoni is still trying to regain full fitness. According to ESPNCricinfo, Dhoni is not batting at full strength in the nets right now and is only facing throwdowns. Dhoni did not practice wicketkeeping during training. Great batsman Dhoni did not travel with the team for the previous matches.
