The wait for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is now over. The exams will be conducted in different shifts starting from April 2 to April 9. Even a small mistake can stop you from giving the exam, so be fully prepared in advance.
What is important to bring
While going to the exam centre, it is mandatory to have some important things with you. First of all, print the admit card of JEE Main 2026 and keep it with you. Without this you will not get entry. Along with this, definitely carry a valid photo ID like Aadhar Card, PAN Card or Voter ID. It is important to fill the self-declaration form given along with the admit card and also keep a passport size photograph. In small luggage you can carry a transparent ball pen and a transparent water bottle. If you fall in PwD category, then do not forget to carry the relevant certificate also.
What things are completely banned
It is strictly prohibited to carry many things to the exam centre. Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators or any electronic device are completely banned. Apart from this, bags, purses, wallets or any extra items are not allowed to be carried. Things related to studies like notes, books or loose papers cannot be taken along. Food and drinks are also banned, although diabetic students get some relief. Avoid wearing metal items like chains, rings or belts as they may cause problems during security check.

what is the schedule
JEE Mains Session 2 exam will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026. This examination is conducted in two papers. Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning). Lakhs of students appear in this examination, hence it is very important to check the time and center information in advance.
Pay attention to the dress code
It is best to wear simple and light clothes on the exam day. Half sleeve clothes are considered better. Avoid wearing heavy shoes, jackets or clothes with many pockets. Also, one should avoid wearing any kind of metal accessory so that there is no problem at the time of entry.
Important things on exam day
It is very important to reach on time on the exam day. Try to reach the exam center at least 1.5 to 2 hours before. Entry will not be allowed if you are late, so be careful about time. All the information given on the admit card must be correct. Once entered in the exam hall, one is not allowed to go out before the completion of the paper. Therefore, go mentally prepared and give the paper without any panic.
