Former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif has come out openly in support of Rohit Sharma after scoring a historic century in Lord’s ODI against England. Kaif said that only he will take the decision on Rohit’s retirement and no one should put pressure on him. He suggested that if captain Shubman Gill and BCCI publicly support Rohit, his confidence will increase further.

But the Indian captain gave a befitting reply to the critics by scoring a historic century. Now former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif has openly come out in support of Rohit. Kaif says that the decision on Rohit Sharma’s retirement will be taken by him and only him. He even said that if captain Shubman Gill and BCCI publicly support Rohit, he will ‘climb the Himalayas’ for India.
‘He will decide when Rohit will retire’
Mohammad Kaif clearly said that after the contribution that Rohit Sharma has made to Indian cricket, he has every right to decide his own future. He reminded that Rohit has scored more than 12 thousand runs and 34 centuries for India and while being the captain, he has led the team to continuous success in limited overs cricket. According to Kaif, ‘Despite the constant talk of retirement, Rohit proved that he is still a player of big matches by scoring a century on a historic ground like Lord’s.’
