Blessing Muzarabani has left PSL and come to play in IPL

New Delhi: The agency managing KKR fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani in IPL has slammed PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi. Along with this, questions have also been raised on online abuses against Zimbabwean fast bowler Muzarabani. Muzarabani was drafted to Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, but Muzarabani joined KKR as a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman. After Muzarabani’s withdrawal from PSL, PCB said that he has broken the contract and he is banned for 2 years.

On this, Muzarabani’s agency World Sports Exchange said in a statement that he had initially kept silence to avoid increasing tension with PSL and PCB. The statement also described the criticism leveled at the Zimbabwean player as unacceptable. “We have remained publicly silent for the past six weeks because we did not want to stir up any further animosity toward the PCB or the PSL,” the agency said.

Agency’s claim – Muzarabani did not get PSL contract

The statement said, “I will no longer remain silent in the face of heavy and vile criticism against Blessing on social media. While defending the character of the player, the agency described Muzarabani as connected to the fans. Blessing is very fond of the fans. Wherever he goes, he meets people and gives time to the fans. I have seen this gentle giant grow into a wonderful person and world class cricketer.”

A large part of the statement focused on clarifying the events of this controversy. According to the agency, Muzarabani got a chance to play on February 13, in which the deal was finalized after receiving the No Objection Certificate from Zimbabwe Cricket, but this approval cannot be given without a formal contract. The agency claimed that despite the signing being announced, the player was never given a contract. By 27 February, Muzarabani got the opportunity of KKR and he accepted it. “You cannot break a contract that you never received,” the statement said. The agency described the sentence as excessive and said it was inconsistent with previous cases.
