IPL 2026, KKR vs LSG: The 38th match of IPL 2026 is being played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In this match, KKR batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi was declared out due to ‘obstructing the field’. The KKR camp seemed quite unhappy with this decision of Anyapar.
Actually, this incident happened on the last ball of the 5th over of KKR’s innings. Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a shot towards mid-on on the ball of Prince Yadav and ran fast to take the run. However, Cameron Green standing at the other end sent him back. Angkrish dived to reach inside the crease. When Angkrish dived to save his wicket, the fielder threw the ball, which landed directly on Angkrish’s leg.

Why did Angkrish throw the bat and helmet on the ground?
As soon as Angkrish hit the ball, LSG captain Rishabh Pant and the rest of the team players appealed to the umpire. After this, the umpire declared Angkrish out for ‘obstructing the field’. Angkrish and the entire camp of KKR looked unhappy with the umpire’s decision. While returning to the pavilion, Angkrish hit his bat hard on the ground and threw the helmet near the boundary line.

KKR head coach Abhishek Nair was also seen talking to the umpire for a long time and anger was clearly visible on his face. However, before Angkrish, Amit Mishra, Ravindra Jadeja, Yusuf Pathan have also been given out in IPL for ‘obstructing the field’.
Angkrish returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs in 8 balls. Batting first, KKR scored 155 runs on the scoreboard after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, Rinku Singh batted brilliantly and played an unbeaten inning of 83 runs in 51 balls. In this innings, Rinku hit 7 fours and 5 sixes. Whereas, Cameron Green contributed 34 runs in 21 balls.
