India announced test squad for Sri Lanka tour: The Indian team was announced on Tuesday for the two-Test series to be held in Sri Lanka. All-rounder Saransh Jain has been included in the team for the first time, while the name of Harsh Dubey, who was included in the last series, is missing from the 15-member squad, a total of four players have come back and three have been eliminated.

If compared with the previous Test series, four players have returned while three players have been dropped. Along with Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna and Saransh Jain are the players coming in the team, while Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harsh Dubey are the players whose names are missing from the squad. Harsh Dubey, who plays from Vidarbha, is also a spin bowling all-rounder like Saransh Jain. Why he was dropped after just one series is not yet known.
Some players joined with conditions
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and top-order batsman B Sai Sudarshan have also been included in the 15-member squad, but their availability is dependent on getting fitness clearance from the BCCI’s Center of Excellence (COE). Spin bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar was not available for selection for the first Test after suffering an injury during the England tour earlier this month.
