Rohit Virat will play 400th international match together: In the third ODI between India and England, the pair of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will create a historical record for India to play the 400th international match together. This will be the first Indian pair to do so, which has already left behind Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid (391 matches). The record of playing the maximum number of 550 matches together in international cricket is in the name of Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene.

New Delhi. The third and last match of the ODI series between India and England is to be played on Sunday at Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London. As soon as they enter the field in the third ODI, the pair of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will achieve a big achievement. Actually, Rohit and Kohli will play together for India in the 400th international match at Lord’s. Kohli-Rohit pair will become the first pair from India to reach this milestone.
Have left Sachin-Dravid behind
Both of them have already left behind the pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in this special list. Sachin-Dravid have played 391 matches together for India. The world record for playing the most number of matches together in international cricket is in the name of former Sri Lankan batsmen Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene.

Sangakkara and Jayawardene have played 550 international matches together for Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma’s performance in the ODI series being played against England has not been anything special. So far he has been able to score only 37 runs in two ODI matches.
Strong performance expected from RO-KO
After facing 47 balls in the second ODI, Rohit could score only 26 runs and failed to take advantage of the good start. There was a lot of speculation about Rohit’s future. According to some reports, Lord’s ODI was being said to be the last match of Rohit’s career. However, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has completely rejected all the rumours.
However, Virat Kohli appeared in good form in the second ODI. He batted well in difficult conditions and played a strong inning of 65 runs in 66 balls. During this innings he hit 8 fours. Kohli along with Rohit made an important partnership of 60 runs for the second wicket and then 67 runs with Shreyas Iyer for the fourth wicket.
