Gurnoor Brar gave away 97 runs in his spell of 10 overs and could not take any wicket. Earlier, the most expensive ODI spell by an Indian bowler at Lord’s was in the name of Karsan Ghavri, who had conceded 81 runs in 11 overs against England in 1975. After about 51 years, this record was broken and now this unwanted figure has been registered in the name of Gurnoor.

Third most expensive bowler in Indian ODI history
Gurnoor Brar’s spell of 0/97 also became the third most expensive spell in Indian ODI history. On the top position in this list is Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who gave 106 runs in 10 overs against South Africa at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in 2015. Vinay Kumar is in second place, who scored 102 runs in 9 overs against Australia in Bengaluru in 2013.
