What should be the qualification?
For job in RBI, graduation from any recognized university is required, in which minimum 60% marks are required for general category candidates and 50% marks are required for reserved category candidates. Although only graduation can qualify you for the exam, but if you have done postgraduation in Economics, Finance or Management, it can further improve your chances of selection. Apart from this, professional courses like CA, CFA or MBA (Finance) also prove beneficial for making a career in RBI.
What should be the age limit?
For RBI Grade B post, the age of the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years. However, age relaxation is given to reserved categories as per government rules. Moreover, candidates who have higher educational qualification like M.Phil or Ph.D. If they are eligible, they can also get relaxation in age limit.

exam pattern
- The first stage is Prelims, in which questions are asked from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Awareness.
- The main examination is Mains, which includes Economic and Social Issues, Finance and Management and English Descriptive Paper.
- The final stage is the interview, in which the personality, communication and financial understanding of the candidate is evaluated.
How to prepare?
To prepare for RBI exam, it is most important that you understand the entire syllabus well and study accordingly. It is very important to practice regularly, especially for Quant and Reasoning. Mock tests and previous years’ question papers improve your speed and accuracy. Along with this, it is also important to read newspapers daily and keep an eye on economic news.
