On which posts is recruitment done?

From time to time, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan conducts recruitment for the posts of Primary Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher and Post Graduate Teacher. Candidates have to apply by visiting the official website and fill the form within the stipulated time.

What should be the educational qualifications?

The qualification to become a teacher is decided according to the post. For example, for primary teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, it is necessary for the candidate to have passed 12th and also have a degree like D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed. Along with this, it is mandatory to pass CTET. To become a teacher for classes 6 to 10, B.Ed degree along with graduation in the relevant subject is required. One has to qualify CTET for this post also. Apart from these, to become a teacher for class 11th and 12th, B.Ed along with post graduate in related subjects like MSc, MA or M.Tech is mandatory. Let us tell you that CTET is not necessary for PTG post.

Age Limit and Selection Process for KV Teacher

The age limit has been fixed differently for different posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya. The maximum age limit for PRT is 30 years, for TGT it is 35 years and for PGT it is 40 years. Relaxation in age limit is also available as per the rules of reserved category. To become a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, candidates have to go through written examination and interview. Questions related to general knowledge, reasoning, language and subject are asked in the examination. After this, successful candidates are called for interview, where their understanding of the subject and reading ability is tested. After final selection, document verification and medical process has to be completed.

Exam Pattern for PGT Post

There are two parts of the written examination in PGT recruitment. In the first part, questions are asked from general subjects, which are qualifying in nature. In the second part, in-depth questions are asked from the related subject and this decides the merit. After this there is an interview, in which the teaching skills and concept clarity of the candidate is seen.
