Hanuman Birth Story (Hanuman Birth Story in Hindi)
The birth of Hanuman ji has also been described in detail in religious texts like Ramayana, Shiv Purana, Sakanda Purana. All of them have described Hanuman as the 11th Rudravataar of Shiva.
According to mythology, Anjana was an Apsara. Due to the curse of the sage, he had to be born on earth in the form of a monkey. To get rid of the curse, Anjana performed difficult penance of Lord Shiva. Pleased with Anjana's penance and devotion, Lord Shiva blessed her with the birth of a son.
When Anjana was doing penance for Lord Shiva, at the same time King Dasharatha of Ayodhya was also performing a yagya with his wives for the birth of a son. Agnidev was pleased with the yagya and appeared and offered divine kheer to King Dasharatha. The king distributed this kheer among his three queens. But an amazing incident also happened with this divine Kheer Prasad.
Both the queens accepted the kheer. But Queen Kaikeyi's kheer was snatched away by an eagle. The flying eagle passed through Anjana's ashram. Anjana Shiva was engrossed in penance. Then, inspired by Vayu Dev, the Kheer Prasad fell into Anjana's hands from the flying eagle, which she accepted as God's Prasad. Due to this divine coincidence and the blessings of Lord Shiva, a very strong child was born from Anjana's womb, who was named Maruti.
Maruti became famous as Hanuman, Bajrangbali and Pawanputra. Later he was also called a devotee of Ram. Due to these religious beliefs, Hanuman is also called the son of Pawanputra and the 11th Rudravataar of Lord Shiva.
