Who is Guru Bhairavaikya?
The word Bhairavaikya means to be absorbed in Bhairava or to attain unity with Bhairava. This temple is associated with the ancient Shaiva tradition of the area. Lord Bhairav is considered to be the Gana of Shiva. Here the PM offered prayers. This temple has been built in the sacred memory of Sri Sri Sri Balgangadharnath Mahaswamiji, who was the 71st Peethadhishwar of Adichunchangiri Math.
