The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made available 19 free online courses to connect students with the technologies of the future. With the help of these courses, students will be able to learn new skills of the digital world along with studying in school.
All these courses are available on the NIELIT Digital University (NDU) platform. The most important thing is that students will not have to pay any fees for these courses. Students can study online anytime and from anywhere as per their convenience.
Students from 8th to 12th can avail the benefits
Students from class 8th to 12th can take advantage of these online courses. The objective of the board is to introduce students to modern technologies instead of limiting them to just books. This will give them an initial understanding of those subjects at the school level itself, which are going to be in highest demand in the future.
Covers topics like AI, cloud computing and cyber security
Many such subjects have been included in these 19 courses, which are becoming increasingly popular in today’s digital world. Students will be able to gain knowledge of areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Python Programming, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Web Designing, Semiconductor Design, VLSI Design, 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing.
Apart from this, basic, intermediate and advanced level courses of AWS DevSecOps, special courses like Computer Concepts, Chipcraft, Deepcraft Studio, RTL, IP Integration and SoC Signoff are also made available.

Courses ranging from one and a half hours to 20 hours
The duration of these online courses is not the same. There are some courses that can be completed in about one and a half hours, while some advanced courses take 20 hours or more. Students can choose any course according to their interest and available time.
