Shakib Hussain took four wickets on IPL debut

New Delhi. Monday 13th April became a memorable day for two players in the Indian Premier League. One of them was Praful Hinge who created a ruckus by taking a wicket in the first over. The second name is Saqib Hussain from Bihar, who comes from a very poor family and at one time he did not even have shoes to wear. The father used to run the house by working in the fields and the son made him famous all over the world. Shakib got a chance to showcase his talent in IPL and he grabbed this opportunity with both hands.

Shakib made it memorable by taking four wickets in his debut match. His performance is also memorable because the Rajasthan Royals team had won the last four consecutive matches. The batting of this team was considered to be the most dangerous, which was completely silenced by Shakib. It is not easy for a young player to wait for a long time and then perform as soon as he returns. This fast bowler from Bihar took full advantage of the opportunity. Along with his fellow debutant Praful Hinge, he led a memorable win for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both of them took four wickets each and gave SRH their second win of the season.

Shakib’s journey to IPL is a story of courage and sacrifice. Born in 2004 in an ordinary family, Saqib witnessed financial hardships in his childhood itself. His father Ali Ahmed Hussain was a farmer. He had to leave work after suffering a knee injury. Saqib quickly understood that he had to support the family somehow. At one time he wanted to join the Indian Army and used to go running in the local ground every day. He also picked up the cricket ball and due to his natural agility, he soon got engrossed in the game.
