According to the order of the District Magistrate, all government, non-government, private schools and Anganwadi centers in the district have been kept closed today. This decision of the administration has been taken keeping in mind the health and safety of children.
Schools closed today in Dehradun

After the warning of the Meteorological Department, the district administration has issued an order to keep all the schools closed today as a precautionary measure. According to the order issued, all government, non-government and private schools will remain closed from class 1 to 12 in Dehradun district today. Along with this, there will be a holiday in all the Anganwadi centers of the district today.

Instructions have been given to the Chief Education Officer and concerned departments to ensure compliance with the order. All school managements were asked to inform about this in advance.
Decision taken keeping in mind the health of children
The extreme heat affects small children the most. Due to strong sunlight and heat wave, problems like weakness, dizziness, dehydration and heat stroke can occur in children. Keeping this in mind, the administration has decided to keep the school closed today.
