DTU New Courses 2026 : Delhi Technological University (DTU) has made many big announcements on the occasion of completion of its 85 years. The university has announced its new plans for the coming academic sessions through new academic programs, partnerships with foreign universities, new initiatives to promote research and modern infrastructure projects.
New integrated BSc-MSc programs will start from 2026-27
DTU has announced that integrated BSc-MSc programs in Data Science and Applied Statistics will be started from the academic session 2026-27. The aim of these new courses is to give students the opportunity to study at Bachelors and Masters level under a single academic programme.
4+1 BTech-MS program started with University of Houston
The university has also started a 4+1 accelerated BTech-MS program in collaboration with the University of Houston, USA. Under this programme, eligible students will be able to take part in an integrated international academic pathway by studying both in India and abroad.
Double major track facility for BTech students
DTU has also announced that a double major track in Economics will be introduced for BTech students from the session 2026-27. Apart from this, micro-credential courses will also be started in collaboration with industry partners, so that students can develop additional skills along with their studies.
Online Certificate Course for Working Professionals
Online certificate programs for working professionals have also been launched through the university’s Center for Technology Enhanced Learning. These include topics like Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy Management and ESG and Corporate Sustainability.
New BTech programs will start in the coming years
DTU said that there is a plan to start BTech program in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from the session 2026-27. After getting the necessary approval, BTech programs in Computer Science and Engineering and Quantum Technology will also be started from 2027-28.

Big achievement in the field of research
The university has also made an important achievement in the field of research. DTU has crossed the mark of 1,000 PhD graduates. Apart from this, a grant of Rs 1 crore has also been received from the Department of Science and Technology to establish an Undergraduate Quantum Technology Lab. The university has announced the setting up of several new research facilities including Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Centre, Siddharth Research and Tribology Centre. Along with this, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with many institutions including Indian Army, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, Inter-University Accelerator Centre, Bajaj Auto Limited and Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation.
DTU’s startups also got great success
The university said that its two startups AllSecureX and Heuronics got a place in the top-6 startups of the Delhi Startup Youth Festival. Both the startups were also given a grant of Rs 10 lakh each. NEMA-AI has been included in the list of Forbes India’s Top 100 Startups.
