Bollywood celebs cannot go in public without security, hence the responsibility of providing them security is taken up by their bodyguards, who keep protecting them at all times. These bodyguards stay with celebs in any gathering or event or function. There is a lot of discussion on social media about the salary of bodyguards of celebs. It is said that these bodyguards get crores of rupees for protecting the actors. Now Shahrukh Khan’s ex-bodyguard Yasin talked openly about the salary of bodyguards.
Yasin told the truth
While talking to Hindi Rush, Yasin termed the claims of getting salary worth crores as fake. He told that all the news circulating on social media regarding the payment of bodyguards is wrong. It is being exaggerated on the internet.

The figures have been greatly exaggerated – Yasin
Yasin said, ‘These figures are greatly exaggerated. Actually this system works in a different way. I think social media is giving the wrong message. Bodyguards do not get Rs 2 to 2.5 crores. If someone is a bodyguard of a big star, his salary is fixed. Apart from this, whenever a film is made, a separate contract is made for it. According to the producer, he is given a fixed amount for that film.
Earlier bodyguards did not get paid
He further said, ‘As far as I remember, earlier bodyguards in the film industry did not get paid. Payment was given only to the driver, make-up man and spot boy. When I started working with Shahrukh Khan, I felt that we too are doing work. We were getting salary, but only enough to survive.

‘Who gives 8 to 10?’
Yasin told that it was he who raised this issue in the industry, which led to many changes. He said, ‘I remember, I spoke to a producer and said that just like others have contracts, we should also get paid.’
Yasin finally rejected the reports which claim that bodyguards of celebs get Rs 8-10 lakh every month. He said, ‘I don’t think he earns that much money in a year. If someone considers himself a celebrity and gives them money then it is a different matter, but the salary is not even that much. Who gives 8 to 10 lakhs?
