Rohit Sharma IND vs AFG Chennai ODI: Although Rohit Sharma never plays for records or personal achievements, despite missing a century in the third and last ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai, he made a big record in his name. Rohit has now become the third Indian batsman to score the highest score of 50+ in ODI for India.

Rohit Sharma 50+ score: Even though Rohit Sharma missed out on scoring a century in the last ODI played against Afghanistan in Chennai last night, but with his innings of 79 runs in 69 balls, he left behind a big record of Rahul Dravid. Rohit Sharma, who hit nine fours and three sixes in front of the home crowd at Chepauk Stadium, has now become the third Indian batsman to score the highest score of 50+ in ODI for India.
Score 50+ for the 95th time
Rohit Sharma scored 50 or more times 95 times in 277 ODI innings. With this he defeated the great Rahul Dravid. Rahul has scored 50+ 94 times in 314 ODI innings. Now only Virat Kohli and great batsman Sachin Tendulkar are ahead of Rohit Sharma in this list. Former captain Sourav Ganguly is at fifth position in the top-5, who has scored 50+ in ODI format 93 times.

Hitman looked disappointed after missing the century
Seeing Rohit Sharma today, it seemed that he is going to easily convert his half-century into a century, but while trying to hit a big shot on Mohammad Nabi’s ball, he was caught by the replacement player Sediqullah Atal at deep midwicket. Rohit Sharma also made his debut in the match by hitting two consecutive fours on Farid Ahmed. Rashid Khan scored a half-century in 47 balls with six sixes and two fours.
