Abhishek Porel’s arrest order from court

New Delhi: Cricketer Abhishek Porel, who plays for Bengal in domestic cricket and Delhi Capitals in IPL, is stuck in a big problem. The court has ordered the arrest of a medical student allegedly for rape. These instructions for arrest have come from Calcutta High Court. The court has also directed the Mogra police to seize all the electronic gadgets of Porel to prevent the complainant’s photographs from allegedly going viral.

The woman alleges that the cricketer had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage and recorded their intimate moments. The court said in its order, “A pen drive has been seized from the petitioner. Some such things have been found in the pen drive, which prove that it is necessary to arrest Porel to seize his electronic gadget so that the data present in it cannot be shared with others.”

Porel faces pain in three year old case

According to a report in The Indian Express, Porel had allegedly contacted the complainant in January 2023, after which a conversation started between the two. The 23-year-old cricketer is accused of taking the woman to his flat in Mankundu when his parents were out.

The complainant alleges that Porel forcibly had physical relations with her. Although both their families had discussed marriage, the complainant later alleged that she came to know that Porel had physical relations with other women as well.

Complaint lodged with Mogra police

According to the complaint lodged with Mogra Police, “Abhishek Porel kept the petitioner illegally confined. He prevented him from eating food and deliberately isolated him from everyone. Due to the said incident which took place in Delhi on April 2, 2026, the petitioner became extremely physically weak and was unable to even walk properly. Due to the injuries sustained despite the flight being scheduled for the next day, the petitioner was forced to seek immediate medical treatment.”
