Quinton de Kock Smashes Hundred: Quinton de Kock, playing for Mumbai Indians, scored a brilliant century against Punjab Kings. He completed his third century in IPL in 53 balls. During this period he hit seven fours and seven sixes. De Kock has become the third player to score a century for three teams in IPL. De Kock played a century in just 53 balls. Which is the second century scored by a batsman for Mumbai Indians against Punjab Kings. Earlier in the year 2014, Lendl Simmons had played an unbeaten inning of 100 runs against Punjab in Mohali. De Kock’s journey of centuries started in 2016 on the Bengaluru ground, when he scored 108 runs in 51 balls against RCB while playing for Delhi Daredevils. After this, while playing for Lucknow Super Giants in 2022, he played an unforgettable inning of 140 not out against KKR at DY Patil Stadium. With this century today, De Kock has once again proved that he is a player of big matches.
He acted as a troubleshooter for Mumbai Indians in difficult times at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. De Kock completed his century by hitting a four off the ball of Xavier Bartlett. In this match, Mumbai Indians made a big change and included Quinton de Kock in the playing XI in place of injured Rohit Sharma. De Kock grabbed this opportunity with both hands. When the team was under pressure after the early dismissals of Ryan Rickleton and Suryakumar Yadav, De Kock started the counter-attack. He brought Mumbai back into the match by playing a stormy innings.

In this match against Punjab Kings, De Kock made a record which no foreign wicketkeeper-batsman had been able to do till now. He became the first foreign player in IPL history to complete 3000 runs as a wicketkeeper batsman. He needed 24 runs to achieve this feat. He crossed this magical figure in the 7th over of the innings.

Quinton de Kock has made a rare record by scoring a century for Mumbai Indians. He has now become only the third batsman in IPL history after KL Rahul and Sanju Samson to score centuries for three different franchises. De Kock had earlier played century innings while playing for Delhi and Lucknow.
