Found out! How Delhi Capitals were limited to just 75, biggest weakness revealedZoom

RCB’s explosive victory increases Punjab’s worries, who is number-1 in the points table?

New Delhi: Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar destroyed the batting of Delhi Capitals by taking six wickets in the first four overs on the night of 27 April. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowled out Delhi for 75 runs in 16.3 overs and registered a comfortable win by nine wickets. At one time Delhi’s score was six wickets for eight runs. Now South African pacer Dale Steyn has given his opinion on this situation.

South Africa’s legendary fast bowler Dale Steyn said that at present the batsmen are not preparing enough for ‘hard length’ (balls bowled at the exact length) and Josh Hazlewood-Bhuvneshwar Kumar exposed this weakness of the batsmen in the IPL match played here on Monday.

Batsmen are not afraid of fast bowlers like Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar), Hazlewood, Rabada and Archer but they have fear in their mind because they know where these great bowlers are going to bowl but they do not prepare for it enough, they have no answer to such balls. The fear is about technical skills, it is not possible to change it now. Keep watching as these bowlers maintain their dominance. It is not called ‘hard length’ for nothing.

Steyn said that the batsmen are no longer afraid, but they do not practice enough to face the balls of the right length from bowlers like Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar, Kagiso Rabada and Joffra Archer.

Former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs, while explaining Steyn’s comment from the batting point of view, said that the batsmen do not play aggressively against these bowlers so that they can spoil their length. Gibbs said, ‘No batsman is trying to spoil his length and score fast runs on him.’
