Tristan Stubbs, allaying the concerns about the team’s batting, said that their performance looks bad because they are chasing the target in every match this season. However, he admitted that he has not been able to play any ‘perfect’ innings yet. Delhi Capitals have won three out of six matches and lost three. He has not given any target to any team yet in this tournament. Stubbs believes that because of this people’s opinion about his batting has been formed.

Stubbs said in the press conference before the match, ‘Our performance looks bad because we are chasing the target in every match. In the last match, we lost three wickets in a single over and our batting was also not very good. Still we managed to score more than 190 runs. He said, ‘We have not played any perfect innings yet, but we have won three out of six matches. Even in the matches we have lost, we have scored 190 runs.

Stubbs ready to land at number 3
Tristan Stubbs says that if the team wants, he is completely ready to bat at number 3. He clearly said that he has no problem in playing any position. While talking in the press conference, Stubbs said that while playing in the middle order, a player has to come out to bat in different situations. For this reason he remains mentally prepared for every situation. He said that if the team gives him the responsibility of batting at the top, he will happily do it.

Referring to his experience, the Delhi Capitals batsman said that he has batted in many different batting positions in his career. Sometimes he has played at number 3 and sometimes at number 6. Because of this, he has become used to playing in all kinds of conditions. Stubbs also said that the experience of playing Test cricket has helped him a lot. This has given him the ability to change his batting according to the match. Stubbs believes that building partnerships is most important and he always focuses on this.
