David Warner confessed to the crime in drink and drive case, court will pronounce sentence on August 18

New Delhi: The troubles of former explosive opener batsman David Warner of Australian cricket team have increased. Earlier this year, Warner was arrested by the police for drunk driving. The case was pending in the court and now Warner has confessed to the crime of drink and drive.

Let us tell you that Warner was accused of driving a van and stopping just before the random testing site, after which he was breath-tested. In the breath test, it was found that Warner had consumed more alcohol than the prescribed limit and he himself was driving the car. In such a situation, Warner was arrested and taken to the police station. However, he was later released on bail, but the case was pending in the court.

Warner’s lawyer had reached the court on his behalf

David Warner did not reach the court for the hearing of the case. In his place, his lawyer appeared in a Sydney court and pleaded guilty to mid-range drink-driving. During a hearing earlier this year, his lawyer Bobby Hill said, “Many of us make bad decisions like this. I think the most important thing is to acknowledge those bad decisions and take responsibility for them.”

In his petition, Warner’s lawyer had said, “It does not matter whether you are a businessman, a doctor or one of the best opening batsmen in the world. This threat remains for each one of us.” In this way Warner accepted his mistake in the drink and drive case. Apart from this, if we talk about his cricketing career, after retirement, Warner is playing in different T20 leagues around the world.
