Sri Lankan cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaze is embroiled in controversy regarding his gold chain. Bhanuka had allegedly given a gold chain worth Rs 9 lakh to actress girlfriend Harshi Rasanga, which Harshi had mortgaged without informing her. After this, when the matter reached the court, Harshi admitted that he had mortgaged the chain.
New twist in the dispute between Bhanuka Rajpaze and Harshi Rasanga
New Delhi: Sri Lankan cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaksa is in the headlines for a strange incident. The whole matter is about a gold chain which he had given to Sri Lankan actress Harshi Rasanga. Harshi mortgaged the gold chain to Bhanuka Rajapaksa without informing him, after which the dispute escalated so much that the matter reached the police and now a sensational revelation has come to light.
Sri Lankan cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaksa had temporarily given his gold chain worth about Rs 9 lakh to Harshi Rasanga. When Rajapaksa asked for the gold chain back, Harshi refused. In such a situation, the cricketer lodged an FIR against Harshi. Bhanuka's lawyer sent a legal notice to Harshi and asked him to return the chain, but Harshi did not respond to the notice, after which the Talangma police arrested him.
The whole matter got overturned in the court
When Harshi was produced in the Kaduwela Magistrate Court after his arrest, an interesting thing came to light. Harshi's lawyers admitted in the court that it was true that he had mortgaged the chain without Rajapaksa's permission and also assured to get the chain returned soon. After this agreement, the court granted bail to Harshi on two personal bonds of Rs 5 lakh each, but as soon as he got the bail, Harshi Rasanga completely changed his stand.
After bail, Harshi made sensational allegations against Bhanuka on social media and said that both of them were in a relationship earlier and during that time Bhanuka had given him that chain as a gift. He argued that it is wrong to treat an object given as love as theft. After these statements, this dispute has now reached the level of personal allegations.
What did Bhanuka Rajpaze say on the whole matter?
Bhanuka Rajapaksa has not yet responded to the claims of love affair made by Harshi. Meanwhile, the court has taken the matter seriously and has ordered the police to present the gold chain in the court till the next hearing. The next hearing of the case will be on April 22. Till then this gold chain mystery remains a topic of discussion in Sri Lankan media.
