Patna: Under the ambitious scheme of Bihar government ‘Bring Medal, Get Job’, cricketers Akashdeep and Mukesh Kumar were appointed to the post of DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police). Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary gave appointment letters, sports scholarship selection letters and honorarium to the players of the state during a grand program at Urja Auditorium.

Akashdeep recently got married
Cricketer Akashdeep got married just a few months ago. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also reached home to congratulate him. Later, he took seven rounds in a grand program in Varanasi. Bihar’s famous artist and Power Star Pawan Singh also attended this wedding.
Appointment letters handed over to a total of 19 players
Apart from Indian cricket team’s fast bowlers Akashdeep and Mukesh Kumar, athlete Piyush Raj was made Police Sub Inspector (SI). Along with Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh were also present in the ceremony. Appointment letters were handed over to 19 outstanding players from various sports including five para players.
Honor money will be showered on medal winning players
In the ceremony, players who performed brilliantly at the international level were honored under the Sports Honor Scheme. Setu Mishra, who became the first player from Bihar to win an international gold medal in athletics, got Rs 37.50 lakh. Vibhaskar Kumar, who represented India in this competition, was given a prize money of Rs 2 lakh. Maryam Fatima, who won the bronze medal in the blitz event of the Commonwealth Youth Chess Championship, received Rs 9 lakh.
