The person we are talking about has also worked as a BCCI official. His name is Saba Karim. The former Indian cricketer and wicketkeeper is known for his interesting love story and cricket career. Saba was born in Patna, Bihar. Got a chance to debut in cricket at the young age of 15. In the year 1982, he played his first first class match for Bihar. After this he also played for Bengal. Saba, who scored more than 7,000 runs in more than 100 first-class matches, played his biggest innings of 234 runs against Odisha in the 1990–91 Ranji Trophy.

Saba Karim’s international career

In 1996, Saba made her debut in ODI cricket for India during the difficult tour of South Africa. Attracted everyone’s attention by scoring 55 runs in the very first match. Unfortunately, the best score of his international career also remained the same. Between 1996 and 2000, he played one Test and 34 ODI matches. He suffered an eye injury while wicketkeeping in the 2000 Asia Cup, which dealt a major blow to his career. Due to this injury, his cricket career was cut short and he retired from international cricket in 2001.

Saba Karim shifted to Delhi while playing Ranji. Here he met Rashmi through a friend. Both of them started talking and gradually their meeting turned into love. Saba was Muslim and Rashmi was Hindu, so both the families did not approve of this relationship. After convincing the family for two years, both of them got married. Saba convinced her family for a long time and married Rashmi in 1989.
