New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore team has got new owners. Just before the start of IPL 2026, the consortium of Aditya Birla Group, Times Group, David Blitzer's Bolt Group and American private equity firm Blackstone's BXPE bought the RCB franchise for a record US $ 1.78 billion (Rs 16,700 crore). This consortium purchased 100 percent stake of RCB from United Spirits Limited. With this, RCB has become the most expensive team of IPL. However, this deal will be effective from IPL 2026 onwards. The team has a new owner Aryaman Birla, while the co-owner will be Satyan Gajwani. Expressing happiness about this deal, the new co-owner of the team, Satyan Gajwani has said that he will discuss the future strategy of the team with Virat Kohli.
