CSK Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad Statement: Last Saturday (April 18) evening, a match was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). I think in terms of bowling in the powerplay, we were expecting 220 or 230 runs, but to get 30 runs short was a brilliant bowling effort and on a ground like this, on a pitch like this, I would have accepted a target of less than 200 any day.”
Gaikwad further said, “Only 80 runs were required in 10 overs and from there I thought of making some partnerships and then it was to be decided that the opposition team should not stay in the match and also come under pressure. But after that a few overs changed the momentum. After 10 overs, we scored only 4 runs in the next 2 overs. I think this would have helped them a lot. We knew that it would be difficult to score 12 or 13 runs in the last overs. He bowled well in the end.

Gaikwad said, “I think the bowling unit has been doing a good job for the last three consecutive matches. Today also we did well after the powerplay.
