Due to this, King Priyavad became more sad and took his dead son to the crematorium. Due to separation from his son, the king also decided to sacrifice his life. But at the same time a mental girl Devsena appeared, who was Goddess Shashthi. That goddess told the king that you should worship me and inspire people also to do this worship. This will remove your sorrow. The king, wishing to have a son, fasted and worshiped Goddess Shashthi. By the grace of Goddess Shashthi, the king was blessed with a healthy and beautiful son, Ratna.

Let us tell you that the festival of Chhath Puja is celebrated twice a year. The worship method, rules, importance and story of both Chhath festivals are similar. Because it falls in Chaitra month, it is called Chaiti Chhath. The Chhath festival falling in the month of Kartik is called Kartiki Chhath.
