Gujarat Titans wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler felt relieved after returning to form after playing a brilliant innings against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Sunday. He told that refocusing on the basics and getting some advice at the right time helped him overcome the bad phase.
Butler batted brilliantly against LSG and played a strong inning of 60 runs in just 37 balls. Butler also completed a century of half-centuries in T20 cricket. Butler said that some minor technical shortcomings were affecting his ability to track the ball, which he worked hard to correct. That’s why if you are not able to see the ball properly, this game becomes very difficult. So I was paying attention to everything before the ball was bowled and then relying on that. Buttler also credited former Australian opener Matthew Hayden, who gave him simple but effective advice. He said, “Hayden actually just asked me in the first few sessions, how well are you seeing the ball? It doesn’t seem like you are able to track the ball properly.
