Big relief to 1.86 lakh teachers who appeared for UP TET, will get special leave for the exam

There is good news for the serving teachers preparing for the Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET 2026) in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has taken the decision. That about 1.86 lakh teachers who will appear in the examination to be held from July 2 to July 4, 2026, will be given special leave. With this, teachers will be able to prepare for the examination without any work pressure and will be able to reach the examination center on time.

Why was this decision taken?

Teachers of Uttar Pradesh had been raising this demand for a long time that it is very difficult to prepare for the exam along with a job and go to take the exam. Keeping this in view, the government has decided to give special leave during the examination period. This is expected to provide relief to the teachers appearing in the examination.

Why was UPTET made necessary?
According to government rules, TET qualification is mandatory for teachers teaching at primary and upper primary level. UPTET has been made mandatory to promote the services of serving teachers within the prescribed time limit and for promotion.

When will the exam be held?
This examination will be conducted on 2nd July, 3rd July and 4th July. The examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. In which primary level candidates will be included. After this the second shift will be organized from 2:30 to 5:00 pm. Which will be for upper primary level.

What will be the exam pattern?

The examination will be conducted on OMR sheets in offline mode. 150 questions will be asked. Candidates will also be given 150 minutes to solve the paper. The most special thing about this exam is that there will be no negative marking in it.

Candidates appearing for UP TET are advised to prepare before the examination and also keep all the necessary documents ready. It will be important to reach the examination center on time. So that one does not have to face any kind of problem at the examination centre. Candidates should read the instructions given in the admit card carefully and appear in the examination accordingly.

How to download UPTET 2026 admit card?

For this, candidates first visit the official website upessc.up.gov.in Go to. There on the home page, click on the UPTET 2026 Admit Card link. And select the information related to your exam. After that, after entering the registration number or mobile number, the candidate should fill his details. After that you will see the security code on the screen, after entering it, click on submit, your admit card will appear there and you can download it.
