In a discussion with GeoHotstar, former Mumbai Indians player Aditya Tare gave an update and said that when he saw Dhoni practicing wicketkeeping in the nets, he was shocked. Because Dhoni does not practice wicketkeeping often. He bats or sometimes bowls in the nets. Aditya told that perhaps Dhoni is trying to test his match fitness. Aditya Tare said that this is the first time that he has seen Dhoni practicing wicketkeeping in the nets, which is a good sign for CSK before the next match. Let us tell you that Dhoni is suffering from calf injury (shin injury) since before the start of IPL 2026.

Especially in the last 2 seasons, MS Dhoni has usually batted at number 7 or lower. Therefore, he scored 161 runs in IPL 2024. In the last season i.e. IPL 2025, he scored 196 runs in 14 matches. He has not played a single match so far this season.
