India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has defended the decision of not giving debut to 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the series against Ireland.
Vaibhav, who was called into the team after record breaking performances for IPL and India A, had to sit on the bench for the entire tour. India had to suffer a historic series defeat against Ireland. Vaibhav did not get a place in the playing XI in both the T20 matches played in Belfast.
