New Delhi. Indian all-rounder Axar Patel can achieve big feat in international cricket today. The teams of India and England will play the second T20 International match in Manchester. On one hand, Team India will be eyeing to win this match and take lead in the series, while Axar Patel will be preparing to create history by taking one wicket. Even in the first match against England, Akshar had a chance to accomplish this historic feat. However, due to rain, the second innings could not be played, in which India had to bowl and the match had to be cancelled. Akshar’s eyes will be on naming this achievement today.
He will be the first spinner to complete this century
Actually, Axar Patel is one step away from completing a century of wickets in T20 International cricket. This star of Team India has taken 99 wickets so far. If Akshar gets a success in today’s match, he will not only complete the century of wickets in this format, but he will also become the first Indian spinner to reach this milestone. Till now no spinner from India has been able to take 100 wickets in T20 International.
Till now only pacers have scored ‘centuries’
Three Indian bowlers have completed the century of wickets in T20 International. All three bowlers are pacers. Arshdeep Singh became the first bowler to do so. After this, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya touched the milestone of 100 wickets. Akshar Patel will be the fourth Indian to do so. Arshdeep is on top in terms of most T20 International wickets for India. He has taken 131 wickets. Bumrah (121) and Hardik (114) are at second and third place respectively. The letters are at number four.
