Australia clean sweeps Bangladesh in T20 series, takes revenge in ODI

Australia vs Bangladesh T20I Series: Australia made a clean sweep of Bangladesh in the three-match series by winning by 7 wickets in the third T20 International. With this, Australia also took revenge for the defeat in the ODI series against Bangladesh. Australia had to face defeat 2-1 in the ODI series.

New Delhi. Due to captain Mitchell Marsh’s quick inning of 60 runs in 28 balls, Australia defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the third T20 match and won the series 3-0. Chasing the target of 110 runs, Australia won the match by scoring 112 runs for three wickets in 11 overs. Marsh hit seven fours and four sixes in his innings and gave a great start to the team. Australia won the first match by four wickets and the second match by seven runs.
Marsh and Josh English made a partnership of 54 runs in the powerplay. Nasum Ahmed broke the partnership by dismissing English for 17 runs. Marsh completed his 14th T20 half-century in 23 balls by hitting a six off Rishad Hussain. Shoriful Islam ended Marsh’s innings by getting caught by Shamim Hussain.
Australia won the third T20 by 7 wickets.
When Marsh was out, Australia was just 22 runs away from victory. Tim David led the team to victory by hitting two consecutive sixes. David remained unbeaten on 12 runs and Matt Renshaw remained unbeaten on six runs. Renshaw had scored unbeaten 89 runs in the last match. Bangladesh captain Tauheed Hriday struggled alone and scored unbeaten 61 runs in 51 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes. Apart from him, only Rishad Hussain (16) reached double figures. For Australia, Spencer Johnson, Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa took two wickets each. Bangladesh had earlier won the three-match ODI series 2-1.
Mitchell Marsh elated after winning the series
Australian captain Mitchell Marsh looked very happy after winning the series. He said, ‘There could not have been a better way to end the series. Really, it is a great feeling to win this series 3-0. I am very proud of the boys on my team, everyone tried their best. When he was asked that after losing the ODI series, how pleasant is it to clean sweep the T20 series? So he said, ‘Yes, it’s really great.’ Some players of our team made their debut (first match) in this series, while some players were returning to the team after a long time. All of them contributed greatly to the team’s victory. It’s an amazing feeling to be with such a team and be a part of it, I am very happy.
