New Delhi. Hampshire have signed all-rounder Ashutosh Sharma for the Men’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup. The franchise gave this information on Monday. 27-year-old Ashutosh plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Capitals (DC), which is co-owned by Hampshire-owned GMR. This batting all-rounder has played a total of 3 seasons in IPL so far. In the year 2024, Ashutosh, playing for Punjab Kings, scored 189 runs in 9 innings of 11 matches with an average of 27. During this period he also scored a half century.
Plays IPL for Delhi Capitals
Ashutosh played the next two seasons for Delhi Capitals. After this, before IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals signed him for Rs 3.80 crore. In his first season for Delhi Capitals, Ashutosh scored 204 runs in 9 innings of 13 matches at an average of 29.14, while the next year he added 171 runs in 8 matches at an average of 34.20.

The right-handed batsman played 8 matches in first class cricket, scoring 370 runs in 13 innings at an average of 28.46. This included 1 century and 2 half-centuries.
Apart from this, in 21 List-A matches he added 458 runs at an average of 24.10. In 62 T20 matches, Ashutosh has scored 1,277 runs at an average of 29.69, which includes 9 half-centuries. Ashutosh started his domestic career with Madhya Pradesh in the year 2017 and till now has played 91 matches in all three formats. Currently he plays for Railways.
