The air filter of AC works to keep the air clean and prevents dust from entering inside. Due to continuous use, dirt accumulates in it, which stops the airflow and slows down the cooling. Refrigerant (AC Gas) Check
The real secret of AC's coolness is the gas present inside it. If its level decreases then cooling is directly affected. During service, the technician checks the gas pressure with special devices and if there is any leakage, he repairs it and refills the gas. Having the right amount of gas provides fast and effective cooling.
Condenser and evaporator coil cleaning
The coils present inside the AC work to remove heat. Due to accumulation of dust on them, heat transfer slows down which affects cooling. With regular cleaning, these coils work better and cool the room in less time. Besides this, electricity is also saved.
Checking drain pipe and drainage
AC removes moisture from the air, creating water which flows out through the drain pipe. If dirt or moss accumulates in the pipe, water starts dripping inside instead of going out. During service, the pipes are cleaned so that water can flow out properly and there is no leakage of any kind.
Checking electrical connections and thermostat
Loose wires, bad sensors or weak capacitors can affect the performance of the AC and can even pose a danger. Therefore all the electrical connections are checked at the time of servicing. Besides, the thermostat is also checked so that it maintains the correct temperature. Due to this, the AC provides continuous cooling without wasting much electricity.
Cleaning and checking the outdoor unit
The outer part of the AC i.e. the outdoor unit is exposed to dust, leaves and weather. If dirt accumulates around it, the air flow stops and cooling reduces. During service, it is cleaned and the surrounding space is also kept open so that proper flow of air is maintained.
