Akshar Patel has become the oldest Indian player to take 4 or more wickets and score more than 50 runs in ODI cricket. Earlier this record was in the name of Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj scored 5 wickets and 50 runs against Ireland in the 2011 World Cup. Now at the age of 32, Akshar has achieved this feat and left Yuvraj behind.

Only 10 players have been able to do this feat in 54 years
In the last 54 years of ODI history, more than 500 matches have been played in England, but there have been only 10 players among them, who have taken 4 or more wickets and also scored a half-century in a single match. Akshar Patel has now become a part of this very special list.

Second oldest player at 43 years
Akshar has also become the second oldest player to achieve this feat in the last 43 years. Only Duncan Fletcher is ahead of him in this list. Fletcher, playing for Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup, scored unbeaten 69 runs along with taking 4 wickets against Australia.
