Chennai had spent a huge amount on Sameer

Let us tell you that in the auction held for IPL 2024, Chennai had bought Sameer Rizvi for a price of Rs 8.40 crore. However, Sameer could not perform as per expectations, due to which the team released him after just one season. Sameer had scored only 51 runs in 5 innings of 8 matches for Chennai in the season.

Then in the mega auction held for the 2025 season, Delhi Capitals bought Sameer for a price of Rs 95 lakh. Even in the current season i.e. 2026, he is a part of Delhi and is seen batting brilliantly.
