If you see the signs given below, then you should understand that there is a problem with the cooling coil.
– AC provides air, but it does not cool the room.
– Ice accumulation on the indoor unit is also a sign of coil damage.
– Water leaking or bad smell coming from the indoor unit can also be a sign of this.
Consuming more power and slow airflow is also a sign of bad cooling coil.
What is the solution?
– Sometimes due to accumulation of dirt on the coil, it is not able to work properly. In such a situation, you can call a technician and get it cleaned.
– If the gas of the AC has leaked then get it refilled from the technician. Also, if there is any leakage somewhere then get it stopped also.
– Minor leakage or damage of the coil can be repaired from the market.
– If the coil is completely damaged then replacing it is a better option.
Keep these things in mind while getting gas refilled
You can cause harm by filling the wrong type of gas in the AC. Therefore, check beforehand on the outer unit which type of gas your AC requires. Give this information to the technician also. Also ask the technician to fill the full amount of gas. If less gas is filled then cooling may be affected. Apart from this, also ensure that there is no adulteration in the gas.
