Abhishek Sharma’s explosive innings were seen in the 31st match of IPL 2026, he scored his second IPL century. In this match against Delhi Capitals, Abhishek scored unbeaten 135 runs in 68 balls. Abhishek left behind Chris Gayle of West Indies, popularly known as ‘Universe Boss’, in a record list.
Abhishek Sharma hit 10 sixes and as many fours in his innings of 135 runs. He defeated every bowler of Delhi Capitals. 6 bowlers of DC bowled and all of them gave away runs at an economy of more than 10. Kuldeep cost 30 runs in 2 overs, Mukesh Kumar cost 53 runs in 4 overs and Nitish Rana cost 55 runs in 4 overs.
Abhishek left Gayle behind
Abhishek Sharma has become the batsman who has scored most number of innings of more than 130 runs in T20. He did this for the fourth time. Earlier, he had scored 141 runs against Punjab Kings in 2025, which is his highest innings in IPL. In this matter, he left behind Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch, who have done this 3-3 times.

1. Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant inning of 135 runs in international cricket against England on February 2, 2025, in which he hit 13 sixes and 7 fours. This is the highest innings played by any Indian in T20 International.
2. After this he scored 141 runs against Punjab Kings in IPL 2026, this is his highest innings of runs in IPL history. In this innings played in 55 balls, he hit 14 fours and 10 sixes.
3. While playing for Punjab, Abhishek Sharma played an explosive inning of 148 runs against Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In this innings played in 52 balls, he hit 16 sixes.
