On the day of Yagya, along with Guru Vashishtha, Maharaj Dashrath's friend, Rishi Rishi, ruler of Anga region and other visitors also came.

The Yagya was completed duly and after the completion of the Yaksha, Dashrath bid farewell to all the sages and pundits respectfully by donating money and grains as Dakshina. King Dashrath returned to the palace after taking the prasad received from the yagya and gave the prasad to his three queens. The three queens conceived from the virtuous fruits and offerings of the Yagya.

First of all, Mother Kaushalya gave birth to a beautiful son on the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. The child born from Kaushalya's womb had a glow like millions of suns in his face and the child was very attractive. Whoever saw the child with this unique image would have been mesmerized. This child was the seventh incarnation of Shri Vishnu.

After mother Kaushalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra also gave birth to sons in auspicious constellations. Kaikeyi's womb gave birth to Bharat and mother Sumitra's womb gave birth to two sons, Lakshman and Shatrughan. Hearing the news of the birth of the princes of Ayodhya, a wave of happiness and enthusiasm ran throughout the city of Ayodhya. King Dasharatha's son was welcomed with a ceremony like songs and music. The gods also bowed to the child and showered countless flowers from the sky.

After this, the naming ceremony of the four sons was performed. Maharishi Vashishtha named them Ramchandra (Ram), Bharat, Lakshman and Shatrughan. Ramchandra, a man of extraordinary talent, became the favorite of the people of Ayodhya within a short time. He gained proficiency in using all types of weapons and was always engaged in the service of his parents and teachers.

Ramji did many great and religious deeds like breaking the bow in Sita Swayamvar, helping Sugriva by killing the mighty Bali and killing Ravana. After marrying Sita, Maryada Purushottam Ram followed the orders of his father and accepted exile for 14 years with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman.

Despite being the protector of the world and the possessor of rare powers, Shri Ram presented a wonderful example of an ordinary human life.
